Physiotherapist should incorporate effective communication techniques into interactions with patients are able to enhance patients’ health outcomes and satisfaction.

However, when sensitive situations arise where effective communication is most necessary, Physiotherapist can often exhibit avoidance behaviours instead of using their skills to handle the situation. Physiotherapist, especially those that work autonomously, cannot afford to shy away from sensitive issues when interacting with patients as they may miss key information or an opportunity to help the patient further .
